Darron Mauldin
Director of Worldwide Clubmaking
Darron graduated with a BBA from McMurry University where he was the 1989 TIAA Conference Medallist, garnered Most Valuable Player and received All-Conference All Academics honors while on the McMurry men’s golf team. He joined Golfsmith in January 1992 and taught in both the Advanced Clubfitting and Master Craftsman programs. He currently oversees the entire clubmaking product assortment and has designed or consulted on the design of numerous Golfsmith clubhead models.
John Mathieson
Educational Manager
John has been with Golfsmith for more than 20 years. He has a wealth of golf industry operations experience and has held titles such as Inventory Facilitator, Operations Manager and Coordinator for both the Harvey Penick Golf Academy and Golfsmith’s Clubmaking Training Programs. His responsibilities include analyzing and publishing information on new shaft designs, overseeing the testing of prototype clubheads and shaft design, designing new clubmaker software tools and providing technical support for Golfsmith’s customer service sales department and retail stores.
Jeff Sheets
Vice President of Research and Development
Jeff began his career in the golf industry in 1986 as a custom clubmaker. Two years later, he joined Brunswick Golf’s Tour Van and traveled around the country fitting shafts for touring professionals. The accomplished clubhead designer has spent more than a decade sharpening his clubhead design skills for original equipment manufacturers like Founders Club, Top-Flite, Hogan and Wilson.
Bill Totten
Master Clubmaker
Bill Totten has been with Golfsmith since 1988. As a member of the R&D staff he facilitates club testing with the Golfsmith Robot as well as human golfers. He is also an instructor in the three Golfsmith Clubmaking Schools. With over 20 years spent in club repair and assembly he is an authority on golf club repair. |
