The HPGA has a wide range of offerings to accommodate your learning goals for 2009. By offering a variety of options, we can best accommodate your skill level and you can address the areas of your game you would most like to improve. Along with our "Full Course" academies we offer an “Advanced Player” format as well as three “Specialty Academies”.
1-Day "Specialty" Academies
We offer three One-Day curriculums that allow you to select the areas of your game that needs the most work. By targeting specific areas you will optimize your learning and practice time to have the greatest impact on you shooting lower scores.

The Three Most Important Clubs
For all levels. Our most popular one day offering which covers the most important clubs from tee to green; the putter, driver and wedge. This curriculum is essentially a scaled down version of our two and three-day academies by covering elements of both the short game and the full swing. Improving your technique and approach to these three clubs will enhance your play, while leading to lower scores. Includes video analysis.

Total Short Game
For all levels. A good short game is essential to shooting lower scores. Research shows that 65% of shots in a round are played from inside 100 yards. This curriculum offers in-depth instruction on chipping, pitching, putting, and bunker play. Let us help you hit your wedges closer to the hole, chip with confidence and putt better and more consistently. Includes video analysis.

Total Long Game
For all levels. Intensive full swing instruction; the foundation on which your game is built. Focus is on the fundamentals and techniques that will enable you to improve your iron play, fairway woods, hybrids and the driver. Our goal is to help you develop and understand “your golf swing” to hit the ball more consistently, manage your misses and to maximize distance. Includes video analysis.

2009 Summer Junior Camps
Junior "FUNdamentals" Camp (Ages 7-16)
Mission: Our goal is provide juniors the opportunity to experience golf in a CLEAN, SAFE and POSITIVE learning environment. The program is designed to create interest and to foster development in beginner and intermediate golfers.
Camp Includes: Introduction to the fundamentals and techniques of golf through the use of drills and games along with individual and team challenges. Golf etiquette, sportsmanship and the rules of golf will also be emphasized. Each of the first three days consists of an opening talk and three 50 min. rotations with two ten minute breaks. Thursday includes on-course instruction at the Harvey Penick Golf Campus and a closing lunch with award presentations.
Who: Open to boys and girls ages 7-16 (NO Exceptions)
When: Each camp runs Monday through Thursday 9:00 - 12:00.
Where: Mon.-Wed. at the Golfsmith Driving Range; Thurs. at the Harvey Penick Golf Campus

Junior "FUNdamentals" Camp (Ages 12-18)
Mission: Our goal is provide junior golfers the opportunity to develop their golfing skills in a CLEAN, SAFE and POSITIVE learning environment. The program is designed to coach to aspiring competitive juniors to higher levels by giving them positive direction and the necessary tools.
Camp Includes: Instruction on all aspects of the game including: Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Bunker Play, Full Swing (Irons and Woods) and Specialty Shots. Our focus is on developing fundamentals, routines, and course strategy in a format that emphasizes competition and individual achievement through the use of games and scoring challenges. Also includes 18 holes of on-course instruction at the Harvey Penick Golf Campus, video analysis and lunch and awards on the final day.
Who: Open to boys and girls ages 12-18 (NO Exceptions). The Competitive Junior Program attendee should already have some playing experience and either playing or looking to play competitive junior golf.
When: Each camp runs Mon. through Thurs. 8:00 to 12:00.
Where: Mon., Tues. and Thurs. at the Golfsmith Driving Range; Wed. at the Harvey Penick Golf Campus
