Precision RIFLE® FLIGHTED™ SERIES

  • An advanced version of the enormously popular Rifle iron shaft that tailors the shaft's bend point to individual clubs through the set.
  • Lower bend points in the long irons make it easier to get the ball airborne, while higher bend points in the short irons allow for lower trajectories and better ball control.
  • Frequency Coeffecient Matched by electronic calibration with the Rifle¹s proprietary internal and external design. Bend Point: Progressive.

nice shaft

couldn't decide between 5.0 or 5.5
i was afraid of going with a 5.0 flex for fear it would be too weak
so i hard stepped once as a compramise
5.0 was stiffer than i thought in the flighted model
worked out in the end this way to be pretty good
consistant flight pattern through the set
i couldnt be happier

Comfortable Iron
Date:December 12, 2008
I purchased a set of these irons (5-PW) and shafted them with RIFLE Flighted Iron. I have only had the opportunity to hit them one time on the range due to an early winter here in IOwa, but at first taste, I love the feel. The ball gets up quickly and goes to where I wanted them to go. Even mishits were only slightly off target, which was what I was hoping to see. I am very excited to get mre use out of these. I do feel the rifle shafts are a big part of the feel. But the iron head is certainly nice. They offer a great look as well. This is a sharp club.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use

Very Consistant Shaft
Date:March 18, 2008
I can't give 5 stars to this shaft because the Project X needs a spot but these shafts are very nice. I don't build clubs on a big scale but I do a little work for myself and a few others. I don't keep a shaft inventory so I can't pick through 50 shafts to find one that meets the frequency specs I need. I need to know that the shaft I order will be in the frequency range I want. If you want your clubs to perform the same from one to the next they at least have to be close in relative frequency. True Temper DG shafts are good but you have to pick through them to find one that meets your frequency needs before you start to build the club. If you don't have a bunch on hand you can't just order an S300 and know that you will get a shaft that will work for that club. Even if I didn't have a frequency meter I would want to use the Rifle shafts because, while you can't set an exact frequency without a meter, you can count on them meeting a designated range for frequency that would be more consistant than you would get from the TT shafts. As for performace, the Rifle shaft flies a little higher and feels a little softer than DGs but for most of us that is a good thing. The improtant thing is that the Rifle shafts are very consistant in their performance from one to the next and I just can't say that about True Temper.
