Lamkin Cross-Line Sof-Cord .600" Round Grip

A favorite among touring professionals. The Crossline Sof-Cord grip's proprietary M2 rubber compound is layered with a soft cord fabric, adding maximum traction to this all-weather grip.

Independent surveys show that, on average, regripping clubs improves scores three to four strokes per round. Other studies reveal that golfers play 18 holes per week should regrip their clubs once a year.

Was a great value, now. . .?
Date:December 16, 2007
. . . it's still a fairly good value at $4.99, but just a few weeks ago, it was listed at $2.99ea. Now that was an excellent value for a full cord grip! I hope this grip doesn't continue to go up in price, because it was an excellent alternative to Golf Pride's Tour Velvet cord which has been listed at $6.39 for a while now. The 67% price increase is the reason for the 3 stars.
As for the grip, it's an excellent cord grip. The texture is a bit rougher feeling than the TV cord, but something folks might appreciate or quickly get used to. Also, Lamkin seems to use a type of rubber that is a bit less tacky than GP, but only the most picky golfers would probably notice this. I wouldn't say the rubber is harder necessarily, it just has a smoother surface which feels just a tad less tacky than the Tour Velvet.
