Lamkin Midsize Performance Plus 3GEN .580 Round Grip

The Lamkin Midsize Performance Plus 3GEN .580 Round Grip features the all-new, revolutionary 3GEN proprietary synthetic rubber compound that is a complete material advancement that feels soft and is superior in every way to competitors' polyurethane grips. The golf swing resonates with the grip. Thus, the proper grip on a club allows golfers to use less grip pressure, which boosts swing speed, control and confidence. 3GEN is a very unique synthetic rubber compound that is both soft and tacky, -- providing unmatched "single-strike" vibration-dampening properties that protects a golfer's hands and arm joints from jarring shockwaves. Used in other applications and industries, 3GEN mutes virtually all vibration and stinging of the hands at impact, providing an incredibly soft feel. The material maintains a high level of tackiness and can be easily wiped for a fresh feel and excellent traction. And unlike competitors' soft polyurethane grips, 3GEN is a form of rubber that has very low torque, similar to that of a traditional rubber grip, and will not feel as if it is sliding around the shaft at impact. That firmness lasts throughout the life of the grip. 3GEN also features a vastly improved resistance to environmental aging and weathering factors. The material will not absorb any moisture and its tackiness is activated by toweling off the grip or using a light abrasive brush. Lamkin's Performance Plus grips were developed with the competitive golfer in mind, the dimensions of the upper and lower areas, along with the unique surface pattern, provide a unified, tension-free grip that can result in higher swing speeds. This design helps players set the grip in their fingers where it is supposed to be, to ease their hand pressure, tension and fatigue, getting them maximum traction and control throughout the swing without having to squeeze the grip. That control allows golfers to swing away with confidence and maximize their swing speed.

These grips are really nice. They are super tacky and give a little when squeezed. No vibrations were felt in the hands, I put these on myself and they went on with little effort. Very nice grip.

Installed for a friend. He loves it. Personally I'm not a huge fan of the white, but the grip itself is very nice.

Great reduced taper grip!
Date:July 13, 2010
Great grip! I love the midsize and reduced taper. The white draws a lot of looks, but it feels similar to a Tour Velvet. So far these grips clean easily and are holding up really well. The only negative I can see is that it doesn't seem much better than the black Performance Plus grip which costs less.
Pros: Quality, Durability

Absolutely Best Grip for the Money
Date:June 22, 2010
Outstanding grip, love this material - soft, tacky, but very low torque. I have very sweaty hands, combine this with playing in humid FL and you have a recipe for disaster with any club in your hand. No worries with these. I agree with others about these being much better than the N-DUR grips. Just wish the blue and red came in midsize. Very easy to clean, but they are white so don't expect them to look new after a round. Also, be careful when cleaning these with a brush - be sure it's a very soft bristled one or you'll lose some of your tack.
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value
