I purchased some 1976 Wilson Staff blades in excellent condition except for the heavy iron shafts. I replaced the shafts with the Dynamic Golf SL shafts. The swing feel was great. However, after a months play, I noticed that the 4-iron (a shaft I frequently use) was bent at the hosel by 7 degrees. I inspected the other clubs and noticed that the 2-iron (a much less often used club) was showing signs of beginning to bend.
I am 6 feet, 172 lbs, and hit the 4-iron 195 yards so my swing speed should not be exceeding the shafts rating of 80-90 mph. I have contacted True Temper about this but have yet to receive a reply. I will provide later info if they respond.
Cons: Quality, Durability

Lightweight shaft with plenty of control
Date:October 24, 2009
These shafts are really terrific. I used them with a set of Snake Eyes 675XC heads. My swing speed is a "cross-over" between the R300 flex and the S300 flex, so I tried one of each. For me the S300 gave me significantly more control and essentially the same distance. In fact, when I just swung really hard the S flex responded better (as one might think). So now a word of caution: these shafts do create a lower ball flight. I was ballooning iron shots and this shaft helped me. I also tried the Dynalite Gold SL. It was a little more forgiving but my shots really ballooned. If you hit a low ball, consider using the Dynalite shaft.
Even a 17-handicapper like me benefited from using these quality shafts. From my experience they feel nearly identical to the original DG but offer improved swing speeds with their lower weight.
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use

Not Impressed

Replaced my Dynamic Gold R300 with these shafts in regular flex and lost at least club in distance. Flight was about the same, but distance was the problem. Shafts didn't seem as responsive as the R300's either. Put the Dynamic Golds back in my irons tonight.
