Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good station Good station for regripping. An easy tape removal trick is to use a torch or a heat gun to remove tape. Heat gun works the best. Use torch for only a few quick swipes up and down the shaft and it peels right off. It would be nice if the grip line locked into place but i used a small quick clamp to lock into place. Didnt really use the hose just let it drip into a bucket. At first i used a small hose clamp cause the hose did fall off but ended up getting in the way so just let it drip into bucket. If you are using that much solvent where u need to re-use it you are using wayyy too much. Just squirt some into the grip, swish it around and dump the excess on the grip tape through the hole at the end of the grip. BING!! Done I drew a few more lines on the end of the alignment line part just cause im crazy about the alignment i guess. For the money it worked great and better than using a vise and drawing lines on a wall with a level. I do it for all my friends. Good Luck. June 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product... I have had my clubs redone at several different places before, I have almost always been disappointed by the way they seem to just slap the grips on. After a long debate I finally broke down and bought the "professional" gripping station. Setup was way easy and I was able to regrip my entire set in about an hour. I was disappointed with the clear "grip alignment tool". There is no way to lock it into position, it basically spins around in a cicle. It makes sence to have it move out of the way while you are removing old grips, I just wish you could rotate it around and have it lock into place while using it. You have to try and line it up staight and hope it doesnt move while you are putting the new grip on. Also, the discription states "Bolts to workbench or may used in a bench vise with heavy-duty flange attachment". If you can bolt it to a workbench, there are no instuctions for doing so and the way the spring-loaded end is desgined to slide back and forth, I dont see any way you could bolt it to a workbench. I would say, plan on using a vise. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and would recommend it... April 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great grip station Worked exactly as expected. As a person who is new to doing their own grips, it took me only a couple of tries before I figured out the assembly line approach that worked best for me. The grip station made it very simple to do that, and produced consistent, high quality results. The only thing that you need to remember is that this is a vice mount grip station, so be sure to have a vice that either clamps to a table or mounts to something really sturdy. I've already made my money back for the purchase prices of the grip station from re-gripping only 2 sets of clubs vs paying retail for grips & having the local shop install them. October 30, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty Good Took about 5 minutes to assemble; fit securely in vice. I had gripped a couple dozen individual clubs over the years with just the rubber shaft holder you stick in a vice, and using alignment lines drawn on the garage wall. This is a significant upgrade from that. It's very easy to stick the club in, check the alignment, and snap the clamp down. It took me about 1:45 to do 10 clubs, including two with nasty grip tape issues. The easy clubs take 5 minutes apiece or less. This also comes with the grip tape tool which definitely helps, although it isn't a magic wand. I got this unit on sale for around $110, which seems like a reasonable price. Have done Driver to Wedge with no issues. Adjusts easily. May 23, 2011
