Another excellent golfmechanix product.
Date:November 26, 2007
Not a whole lot of experience with other types of frequency analyzers, and I'm still learning how to fully master this unit. I chose this Golfmechanix unit after a lot of research. This was also the unit that Mike Duggan recommended, so I new it must be good.
I wanted a unit that I could use to do shaft profiling and measuring assembled clubs as well. This unit does this and I'm very happy with it's ease of use and performance, though I think a bit of variability is introduced due to the way the shaft is twanged, which is probably the case with most freq analyzers. The operator sets the club in motion, so there has to be substantial error associated with this. That said, I think a bit of practice as to how much force is used, how the shaft is released, and how many cycles is allowed before measurement will help to give more consistent readings.
