The Professional Loft & Lie Machine, the Ultimate Loft/Lie Machine, the Basic Loft/Lie Machine, the Clubmaker Metal Wood Bending Machine and the Ultimate Putter Bending Machine can all be mounted to Golfsmith�s optional heavy-duty stand. This Universal Bending Stand features hat clamps for permanently fixing to the floor, or anchor the stand with your own weight using the standing platform.

Rated 2 out of 5 by golf4collet Do not waste your money!! This stand looks nice and is heavy duty. It also works very well for adjusting the lie angle of all irons, but it is almost impossible to adjust the loft because you can't get enough leverage because you have to stand to the side of the machine. The solution would be to have a lockable swivel at the top so you could swivel the machine 90 degrees to get the leverage you need to make the adjustment. October 11, 2007

Rated 3 out of 5 by 1P4E Helpful item but not best option The universal stand is built very well and can take a lot of abuse. It holds the bending machine well and is relatively quick to put together. I purchased it because I'm not in a working situation where I can bolt down my machine in a permanent location, as I frequently take it on the road for fitting sessions. I've used it on soft forged irons and harder investment cast irons. With the softer irons it's relatively easy to make all the necessary adjustments, but it can be quite difficult to use with the stiffer metals. Because your weight is what keeps this planted, it can be a bit more difficult to get into the best angles for bending harder irons. I usually ask the customer to assist with keeping it grounded. Forged clubs are easy though, since they bend much more easily. All in all, you can't beat a permanently "bolted to the ground" bending machine, but this does help when you don't have that option.
