This little saw is what the club making industry has been needing for years. It frees up lots of bench space, makes excellent cuts, and is well built.

Fast Cutter... Somewhat Inaccurate

This seven-inch chop saw has made my shaft cutting much less laborsome. It cuts a golf shaft about as fast as it can be loaded and the spinning blade manually lowered. The large disk blade lasts through a multitude of cuts before needing to be changed.
It does take care in loading, though. With inexperience, a shaft can be cut slightly too long (around 1/16th of an inch too long). This has resulted in no problem for me because, with care, the saw can shave very small lengths off of shafts too. I have never been able to do that with plumber-style tube cutters.
When used on composite shafts, the tool shoots staining graphite powder as much as eighteen inches from the cutting point, so be prepared for that. Additionally, the cut off portion of a metal or composite shaft can be lightly thrown from the tool when the cutting is finished.
Overall, my opinion is that this tool is excellent. I love the ability to shave off minute lengths!

A mighty-might tool for trimming shafts. I have a basement shop where space is at a premium. It is both lightweight and compact for easy storage.

Not a good purchase

The chopsaw was delivered with the disc broken at least it has an indentation in the cutting edge. Its Ok for cutting shafts but it is not possible to make very precise or fine cuttings.
The package box was so old that looks to me as if this product was in the ware house for a long, long time.
I am sorry I cant send it back because I live in Mexico, I´ll keep it to be used not as a routine shft cutter.It is very noisy
