Clubmaker Bending Bar:

This durable steel bending bar features a coned opening that provides a snug grip when it's time to adjust the loft or lie on clubheads with shorter hosels. Members of Golfsmith's production team believe that is the fastest and best way to make adjustments to Callaway irons and other brands that typically feature shorter hosels. Works well with metal and wood hosels too.

Acceptable Bending Bar
Date:July 3, 2011
As I titled this review, this bar is acceptable and just as another reviewer stated, this bar WILL leave marks on the hosels of irons forged or stainless steel, however, the bar is heavy enough to bend even the strongest of steei such a PINGs. Also, this bar cannot be used on Callaway or other short hosel clubheads...
I taped the hosels with duct tape on the second set of PINGs and the process left no scars on the hosels...all went well
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Durability

It works and has good leverage. However, leaves big marks on the club, especially forged irons. Worth the extra bucks to get a better bending bar unless you don't care about the appearance of your clubs.
Pros: Quality, Durability
Cons: Poor Design

Works very well

Don't be put off by the other reviews of this product - it works and because of it's size can get in very tight. Will it leave small marks - yes. But unless you're working on new, factory released clubs there are already lots of other marks already there. This is not a pro-shop tool, and anyone setting up a pro-shop should pay the extra freight for a better bar. For those of us working on our own used clubs - this tool works very well.
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, Durability

Must be something better out there

Agree with previous reviewer. DO NOT USE on soft forged like the 675's. There is something about the edges of this bar that leaves pretty severe marks.
I have even tried lead tape, and soft brass, as a buffer but it still left deep marks. I found you have to use very thin and soft brass as there isn't enough space between the bar and hosel to put anything to thick as a buffer.
