Clubmaker Multi-Purpose Bench Vise

This handy bench design features a 180° swivel base to help clubmakers easily perform a variety of clubmaking tasks. The tool comes with four interchangeable jaws — soft aluminum V design for steel shafts, rubber V design for graphite shafts, round rubber jaws for gripping and clamping and flat jaws for irons and other jobs. This bench vise also features a built-in ferrule setter and extractor to help clubmakers multitask.

A solvent recovery tank and bracket (#8322) speed up the gripping process.

Necessity for Clubmaking

This is a great little vise for the money. Comparable in quality and price (if not cheaper) to any other vise I've seen of the same size, and you get these phenomenal jaws with this vise! These special jaws really are great; one rubber set for regripping (larger diameter to grip butt end of shafts), one rubber set for clubhead changing (smaller diameter to grip shaft tips), one aluminum one for holding steel shaft tips (although the rubber one would work fine here too), and then the standard steel jaws for regular work. Plus the aluminum backing plates (with built in ferrule tools). If anyone was wondering how the jaws interchange, the standard steel jaws and aluminum backing plates both bolt on with counterbored allen screws. The aluminum backing plates have two little pins sticking out of each, and the other three sets of jaws have holes drilled in the back of them which fit snug over the pins.
