Damaged Product

I purchased this organizer for my husband's birthday and I have to say I was embarrassed that I bought it for him. I read all of the reviews and they all gave high marks. I had the complete opposite experience. When we pulled the pieces out of the box almost every one was scratched. It looked like maybe we got stuck with someone's returned product. The instructions read as if they were written by a 5 yr old. We had to pretty much figure it out for ourselves. The 30 min assembly time they estimated turned out to be 2 hrs for us. As we were trying to put it together, the wood started splitting. Some of the pieces didn't line up like they were supposed to and we had to force some pieces into place. We also had to redrill the predrilled holes. I wanted to send the thing back, but since we spent so much time and frustration putting it together we didn't want to hassle with it anymore. The only reason it got one star is because it looks somewhat decent after it was all put together...as long as you don't look too closely.

Directions not great

There were items in the hardware that were not described in the items available. There was no screw hole available on the bottom front of floor board and I spent a lot of time looking for this hole which the bracket was supposed to be screwed into. The directions talked about a Black Metal 90 degree bracket which was incorrect. I received a silver bracket. It took longer than 30 minutes to assemble and it is not the best quality material. I guess for the money it will suffice but not overly impressed.

Lovely!

I bought this gift for my father after taking a month to read all the reviews on it. I read on here that people had problems following the directions, and also that the wood was not good quality.
Our product was great, my father had it together in less than a half hour, and its really sturdy. HE could not be happier with it!

Looks good, bad quality.

The organizer looks great and was fairly easy to assemble, but the quality is just not there. The top rear board cracked on both sides before the screws were in all the way. Unfortunately it's on a visible area. One of the boards was scratched too.
