Too flimsy for the job
Date:June 29, 2009
With careful work can be accurate to about 1 degree in loft and lie. But difficult to use. The stand is too short, so that tilting the shaft-holder-lever raises the whole contraption off the workbench. The friction coupling is not tight enough to hold the shaft in place, so you need to hold the shaft with one hand while you measure with the other. Also the instructions for measuring irons only works for the mid- and long- irons; the wedges have to be measured like woods. This gadget needs to be constructed better.
Cons: Quality, Difficult to Use, Poor Design, too small for the job

Difficult to use
Date:April 24, 2009
It takes awhile to get a good reading. Basically use this to see how far off my bending machine is. It's accurate if you are really patient. Since I'm not a pro club maker and do not use it much, it works ok for me. I mean really the darn arm swings why there isn't a protractor reading there and you have to use the seperate one is beyond me. Originally I thought I was using it wrong and it had to attach somehow... nope... I was using it right, it's just not that good.
Pros: Durability
Cons: Difficult to Use, Poor Design

Measureing Gauge
Date:April 24, 2009
This device is relatively easy to use and works well. My only negative comment is that the shaft holding mechanism doesn't open enough to accept thicker shafts/hosels. I had to repalce the provided screw with a longer one. This may not be a problem for others, but, as a Hickory Club player, the thicker Hickory shafts cause a problem.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use
