Golfsmith Ultralight Shaft Extender:

Extenders for ultralight graphite shafts. Golfsmith's versatile selection of shaft extenders (plugs) will lengthen virtually any golf club on the market. Simply apply epoxy, slide the extender into the shaft butt, allow the epoxy to cure and cut to length.

  • Tip diameter: .535"
  • Butt diameter: .610"

Note: Extending a club more than two inches may compromise shaft integrity and increase the risk of breakage.

Applied this extender to my Taylormade driver and it worked perfectly. The extra shaft length has helped to reduce an unwanted fade and may have even increased the distance of my drives slightly.Easy to install using an individual epoxy pack that I ordered with the extender. Good purchase!

I extended several clubs that I had shortened when I
was having problems hitting, including a driver. I
added 2 inches to them. Some shafts the oversize
extension was a little too big so I used emery paper
to cut them down. all working good, no problems.

Doesn't fit Nike Dymo fairway wood

I bought the oversize graphite extension to fit into a Nike Dymo fairway wood but it was too large to fit the club. I then purchased the regular graphite extension and it was too small. I ended up cutting off the leading edge of the oversize extension and then it fit well. I wouldn't recommend this (for Nike clubs anyway). It may work with others.
Pros: Good Value
Cons: Poor Design

I have used only one of the graphite extensions at this time on my driver.
I installed it with epoxy and let it set one day.
I worked very well with no problems.
