Great Net
Date:March 14, 2010
I bought this net in 2005 from Golfsmith and has withstood much abuse for the last 6 years. Saves me a lot of time in warming up before a game. If you use it indoors, you need 10 foot ceilings. My two year old loves it as he loves to jump into the net- not made for that. None the less, I bought it years ago at $125 and it still looks brand new. I don't use the target all the time so I've had no issue with it cracking.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Durability

Not up to the Brand's Standard
Date:March 12, 2010
Callaway is a great company with quality golf products. This isn't one of them. I'm in New York so this net isn't seeing year round use. The target is shredded and plan on cinderblocks and tie lines if you want it standing in a mild breeze. It is considerably higher priced then other nets I have seen but I wanted quality that would last in the long run. Was more like the 100 yard dash. 1 year and it will be at the curb.

A bit disappointed
Date:September 4, 2009
I went with this net in part due to the reviews I read and the company's assertion that it can handle anything from driver on down. Let's not kid ourselves.
On the first swing with a driver, the material that anchors the target to the net failed. After a couple of failed repair tries, I was able to reattach it by sewing with fishing line as thread.
As of today, I have probably struck three hundred 6 to 9 iron shots into the net. There are two gaping holes in the target. I figured the target would eventually fail, but not so soon.
So far, the net material itself is holding up. We'll see for how long.
Pros: Easy to Use
Cons: Durability

Good quality and works well
Date:February 26, 2009
Have set it up recently with a driving range mat I bought elsewhere.
Setup is pretty quick and easy, as is storage. It is primarily meant to be staked into a garden, but will work on a hard surface as well ( I have mine in an extension area with marble flooring). If you do set it up on a hard/smooth surface, you may need to anchor it as hits will tend to push the net back. (I have just pushed it against some steps)
Overall, good quality and a good training aid to practice your swings and contact. Of course, being a net, you can't tell too much about your ball flight.
Have not used the hanging target - so can't comment there. But the ball return does have a chance of 'spitting' balls back to you on certain shots (but it is rare and manageable - which can also work as a plus point returning the ball to your hitting area!)
Also, I must commend Golfsmith for the quick international service. Arrived sooner than I expected!
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value
