Worst Footjoys I've ever owned

These are probably a good shoe if you ride a cart from shot to shot and stay in the fairway. Terrible shoe if you don't. My Contours would always leak after about 6 months; I walk my home course 5 days a week in the morning dew. A friend suggested I try the DryJoys. Big mistake. Tall, narrow sole design provides no support for lateral ankle twisting on uneven ground. Stiff plastic mid sole compresses the arches rather than flexes with them. Minimal inner sole padding is like walking on concrete.

Switched to a pair of waterproof, Gore-Tex lined hiking shoes. Pain in my arches, heels and my lower back went away. Don't yet know if the Gore-Tex will hold up better than the Contours, but I do know you don't need stiff, spiked shoes to play a decent round of golf.
