The Callaway LR 550 Rangefinder provides quick and accurate distance measurement up to 550 yards (500 meters), and features first target technology which displays the range to the nearest target among multiple results obtained with a single measurement — useful when measuring the distance to a pin on a green with woods in the back ground.

I searched a while before my purchase of this rangefinder, I've been back and forth between the models and brands. This model has had the least bad reviews (if you don't count people dropping them on the cart path and blaming the product for not being perfect - seriously?). I was looking for something that was easy to use and accurate. the LR550 has lived up to everything that I'd hoped it would. It's simple to use, easily picks out targets I'm aiming at and displays their range very quickly. With it's outside rubber shell and waterproof design, I can't see a down side. I wasn't a big fan of the neoprene case that came with it, but it's grown on me, makes taking it out, ranging and putting it away very fast. All in all, It's a great addition to my golf bag.

I traded a high end Bushnell for this unit. It is far more accurate.....much less prone to spurious readings. It is easy to use and the screen resolution is good.
Only complaint is the case. THe cover is secured by a small (cheap) velcro cover. WIsh there was something more substantial.
