The Golf Buddy Tour GPS will help you gain confidence in knowing exactly how far and where to go. The Golf Buddy's large, easy-to-read screen gives you the exact distance to greens, bunkers, water hazards and lay up points.

Each Golf Buddy Tour GPS unit features the dynamic green view which changes the shape of the green depending on your angle of approach. Target information is already pre-loaded and the Golf Buddy features customizable target technology which lets you add up to 11 of your own custom targets. The Tour GPS comes preloaded with all available courses across North America (the only GPS to do so) with the ability to load even more world-wide courses.

With the Golf Buddy's unique automatic course and hole recognition feature, the correct course and hole will load automatically each and every time, eliminating the need to navigate cumbersome menus to load the appropriate view. I wanted to get the Garmin G3 because it has the biggest screen size but after reading the revues about the difficulty seeing the screen I hesitated. Then, I played with a guy four times in a row who had one. The screen is too dificulty to read even in the shade of the golf cart so I looked around what other golfers were using. I played with a guy that had this Golf Buddy model and was instantly sold. I went online and bought one and have been using it for a month with absolutely no problem. I like the clarity of the screen and the ability to use it for 3 rounds in a row on the rechargeable battery. I like the option of having to use 2 AAA batteries if the rechargeable fails during the round. I carry 6 AAA's in the bag just in case. I really like the number of courses that are in it and the ability to turn it on at any course and I am good to go in less than 2 minutes whether I am on the 1st hole or shotgunning it somewhere else on the course. My last GPS was a SkyCaddie SG3 and I got tired of paying the yearly fee and you could only load 10 courses at a time. If I went to a course that wasn't on my top 10 list and I forgot to download it the nite before it became useless. The SG3 is in the bag and is for sale now. I play 3-5 times a week at my golf course and various others in my area. I am a 9 handicap and will be keeping this unit for a long time unless my friends steal it! Under $200 right now at Golfsmith.
