The Wilson Pro family has long been a favorite of aggressive players who like to swing hard and hit with heavy spin. The Wilson Pro Open BLX Tennis Racquet is now elevated to new levels of feel due to the addition of basalt fibers and BLX technology. Wilson’s BLX technology is all about delivering unsurpassed feel and response to aggressive players. The BLX technology itself consists of interweaving basalt fibers with karophite black – from Wilson’s popular K-series racquets – for an advanced composite material that greatly improves vibration dampening through frequency reduction, but with the lightness, responsiveness, and rigid stability of a carbon fiber frame. Updated frame geometry and improved grommets add stability and improved string movement for a larger sweet spot. The Pro Open BLX is 27" long, with a 100 square inch head, head-light balance and a 16 x 19 string pattern. It’s well suited to "heavy spinners" who like greater maneuverability in a powerful swing. Big hitters will have a better sensation than ever when smacking passing shots on match day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Really Good Racquet!! The Wilson BLX Pro.Open is an awesome racquet! Great for spins, volleys, and half-volleys. Good at serving to! This racquet works best if you add weight to it. At 11.1oz is a bit light. I added 2g of lead tape at 3,and 9 o'clock for a total of 4g. Then added 7g of lead to the handle. i then placed a Gamma white overgrip(5g) for a total of 16g of weight. The result is a very solid and stable frame. It has a HL balance & weights 11.66oz.
