UST Mamiya Proforce V2 65 Wood Shaft

Building on the success of the wildly popular Proforce line, the Proforce V2 Wood Shaft features a compilation of UST Mamiya proven technologies. A balanced tip section promotes maximum energy transfer while the low torque reduces side spin for greater control. The Proforce V2 uses a combination of 19 types of aerospace-quality materials. These micro-fiber layers are situated in a proprietary fiber orientation to ensure constant taper and consistent flex and feel between each shaft weight category. In short, this shaft offers a responsive feel in the hands with a low torque, active tip section that releases a powerful blow for both accuracy and added carry and distance.

Killed my distance

I decided to reshaft my '07 TM Burner's stiff shaft as I was getting inconsistent results and it felt a little whippy . After reading tons of reviews, I was between this V2 and the Aldilla NV. I went with the V2 because it was on sale for $20 less. BIG mistake for me.
Some reviewers claim this shaft deadens the feel of the driver; I agree. This shaft is very stiff. My swing speed varies from 95-105mph on any given swing of the driver. The specs say that should be a perfect stiff for me, so that's what I ordered. My ball flight was fine but I literally LOST 20+ yards off my drives. Yeah, they were more consistently straight but come on...
I recently reshafted again and went with the Grafalloy pro launch red and WOW what a difference! I'm now longer than the stock shaft, it feels great, and goes straight. I could have tried the NV but I used to have a grafalloy in a driver and loved it so after the troubles I had with this V2 I went with a company I figured I knew and could trust.
Many people love this shaft. I just don't understand it. I've been playing regularly for 14 years, worked at country clubs, hit a ton of drivers, and never had these bad of results with a driver as my own with this shaft.

Just replaced the ProLaunch Blue with this V2. The ProLaunch is a great shaft, but launched just a bit too high with my 10.5 Mizuno driver. The V2 has brought it down where I need it. I'm a senior with 40+ years of experience, carry the drive about 240 with a swing speed in the low 90s, so the "R" flex is perfect. A good looking shaft, but I wish it were more yellow colored instead of gold so it matched the yellow Multi-cord grip better
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, Durability

Finally.

After going through several drivers the past 3 yrs, I was turned onto this shaft for my FT-9 Callaway
9.5 degree head. The stock fujikura was like rubber and the ball went so high it plugged. Id slow my swing speed down to control the driver with that "stiff" shaft. Not anymore. I have the 66 gram X-stiff and Im hitting bombs, straight bombs even when a slight miss or trying to swing out of my shoes. I was 270-285 ish. Now 310-326 with rollout. Way less backspin on the launch monitor. Amazing shaft. Great look and feel. The biggest thing I can say is YES, you as an average to above average golfer are good enough to be fitted with custom shafts. My hdcp has been 15 down to a 6.6, looking forward to watching it come down as there are very few wayward drives with my new buddy. Am doing 3 and 5 wood also. PS awesome price considering the 125-300$ upcharge alternatives.

I bought the 65 gr. V2 shaft and had Golfsmith Pure it and install it on my Titleist 905 S. The first round I played with it I hit 12 of 14 fairways and the ones I missed were by a yard or two. I am currently a seven index. If you buy any new shaft, get it Pured by Golfsmith. It makes a world of difference.
