UST Proforce XTD Wood Shaft:

The Snake Eyes Proforce XTD shaft series designed by UST is the evolution of the popular Proforce XT series. Better performance and better playability is achieved by optimizing the tip section and torsional properties with one thought in mind: maximize distance. Snake Eyes Proforce XTD shafts were developed to optimize spin characteristics of the new Snake Eyes clubheads. High performance materials and multi-directional fibers improve energy transfer which provides solid feel, shot control and longer carry distance.

Very nice shaft!
Date:June 12, 2011
I put a Snake Eyes Proforce XTD wood shaft (10.5 degree, regular flex) on a Snake Eyes 685T driver head. The shaft feels right for a regular flex -- not too stiff and not too whippy. I'm gettng a high trajectory which is what I want since as I'm getting older I need a higher trajectory to retain some distance. One thng that I like about the shaft appearance is how the Snake Eyes logos appear 360 degrees around the shaft diamater. There is no need (as with most other shafts) to align the logo either at the top or the bottom while installing the shaft. Overall, this is a very nice wood shaft.

I like it!

paired with the 685T 9.5* driver. Longest I've hit in a long time. Had the Viper with a Wishon white shaft before this. This combo is better. Taller face on driver helps, but I think its the shaft that really makes the difference. . .smooth and solid!

Good Value in its Price Range

The description for this shaft is accurate. The shaft feels slightly softer than the equivalent flex in the older product. The resulting feel is smooth, with the perception of a controlled release of the torsion absorbed by the shaft through a swing. The club head remains predicably aligned through impact.
The metallic look is smart.

Not bad but not good looking
Date:August 29, 2010
I installed this shaft with a offset and closed face Tom Wishon driver head. I wanted something super light to tryout this fad for 2010. I had decent results with removing my slice or any going right issues. My distance was pretty mediocre as the shaft launches high and the club is 11* loft.
THe reason I gave this a 4 out of 5 is that I think this is one of the ugliest golf shafts I have ever used. Even worse the the hunter green TT EI70 and EI70 II shafts. I used a GP multi-compound cord in white and even with the black club head this color combination doesn't work. I usually don't care much about this, but with the driver this can be important as you want to inspire confidence and I didn't have it with this shaft.
Pros: Easy to Use
