Very disappointed with my lie board and it was just a piece of plastic with no instructions as to how to use it. I tried to hit the surface with and without tape on the sole of my irons and nothing showed. I had better results with a piece of plywood with a crayon marked impact area. The product also cracked after the second hit.
Cons: Difficult to Use, Poor Design, Durability

Simple inexpensive way to check the lie angle on your irons. The scuff mark is very easy to wipe off with your fingers. The only drawback for me was the board has no grooves and it takes some effort to get a round golf ball to stop rolling around. I am going to add a small notch but that should be considered in the next design.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Value
Cons: Poor Design

Cheap and Efficient

I don't agree with the reviews that this board is not durable... I am only on my second board in the past eight years! The first one broke becuase the swing was so bad that it hit the leading edge and the board was anchored. I no longer anchor the board... just lay it on the hitting matt. It is simple but gives an accurate representation of lie angle during a dynamic swing... essential for establishing correct lie angles in irons. Don't bother with the fitting clubs... just have clients use their actual clubs, tape the soles... and have them swing "down & through!" Obviously... to do anything about it, you will require a bending machine or have a pro shop bend for you.
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, Durability

Broke on 6th swing
Date:April 24, 2009
It broke the sixth time I hit on it (the only time I really chunked one). Just not durable. It will work and not break if you use it on concrete... but come on... who is hitting balls off of concrete.
Cons: Durability
