Golfsmith Spring Rod Grip Removal Tool:

This extraordinarily simple yet effective tool removes grips with a minimum of effort and preserves them for re-installation. The spring-rod design improves the tool's efficiency by creating a channel for the grip solvent, allowing the solvent to penetrate into the grip faster and easier. The rounded edges and tip reduce damage to both the grip and graphite shafts.

Lubricate the dual spring-rod blades with grip solvent, then work it under the mouth of the grip. Slide the tool up inside the butt end of the club (apply more solvent as necessary), then work the tool quickly around the circumference of the shaft. Both grip and tool slide off the shaft effortlessly.

NOTE: this tool is not recommended for use with Winn grips.

Be Patient

This tool worked very well as long as your patient and not in a hurry.
Just work it in with solvent down and around.
Don't rush it, let the tool and the solvent work together.
My first grip was off in about 4 minutes.

Grip Remover

The only thing I have purchased from Golfsmith that was really a bad buy. I bought a flat rod remover over ten years ago and it was great. I lost it in a move , so ordered this spring rod thing. I assumed it was an improved model. It is practically worthless. I got the grips off but it took a lot of work and time and a whole lot of solvent. I have been a Golfsmith customer since they began but I am very disappointed in this.

THIS SPRING ROD REMOVAL TOOL WORKS LIKE A CHARM ! READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTUCTIONS AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.
I RUN A SMALL FIX IT SHOP , I HAVE ALWAYS DONE MY OWN CLUB REPAIRS SO RECENTLY I STARTED DOING REPAIRS FOR MY FRIENDS .
THIS TOOL HAS BEEN A BIG HIT... I CAN NOW SAVE THOSE $5 GRIPS WITHOUT PUNCHING HOLES IN THEM AND PUMPING SOLVENT WITH A SYRINGE .

Great Grip Removal Tool

This is the best grip removal tool! I've used a needle pump for years and this tool beats it by a bunch. It's cleaner and easier to use. Follow the instructions. It really works.
