Golfsmith Putter Shaft Altering Tool:

The Putter Shaft Altering Tool allows you to alter lie angle and face angle on curved shafts. Perform quick and easy custom alterations of putters built with double- or single-bend shafts. Curved shaft putters cannot be altered for lie or to make the face sit absolutely square unless the shaft is bent. Although this tool does not make a curved shaft from a straight shaft, it permits lie angle and face angle changes to putter shafts.

Mounts in a bench vise — just put the shaft between the rollers for custom bends, whether the shaft is behind or in front of the clubface.

Cheap and easy adjustment for double bend putters - best to heat shaft a bit and be gentle.

Instructions are a little difficult to follow. Should inlclude tips on difficult shafts, such as, use a micro torch to heat the bend before altering. Had to call GS to get this information.

Takes some practice but good product.

This product will do what it claims, but you will need to practice with it a bit to give you smooth results. I've used it on several putter shafts and like the fact that I can make tiny adjustments in lie and loft. Yes, I use it for lofts as well, but you will need to let your customers know that the clubhead will not sit perfectly flat from face to back, and that they should not allow their hand position to change.
The only modification I have that will make this tool even better: Replace the knob-screw clamping system with a one-motion, lever clamper.
