This was a no brainer purchase. Why risk damaging a hosel during shaft removal when these protectors are so cheap? They work as designed. Good job Golfsmith!
I would imagine they will last quite a while, but I would not give this a bad review even if the protectors wear out quickly. They are a sacrificial tool.

I pulled my first graphite shaft with these,
everything went great. Didn't make a mark on
the shaft.

I use a JB puller, which exerts a lot of pressure on hosels. I always use this protector between the steel push plate and the hosel to protect the end of the hosel from getting dinged or smashed. I'm glad this product includes several collars, because it will lose its shape quickly on a hydraulic extractor.
