Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent product Great reamer, perfect for drilling out those old glue or uneven surfaces in the hosel. a must have for people who built their own clubs. December 4, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Tool I have been building/rebuilding clubs for about 14 years as a hobbiest for my self and close playing companions. I play a lot of golf as well. I have rebuilt several old sets of irons to include a couple sets of '92 Wilson Goosenecks, '80s Wilson X31s, and currently, a set of '60s Haig Ultra irons). I have bored the hosels by hand previously, however, several months ago, I purchased this reamer and dropped in into the drawer with the rest of my metal bits. It comes in a hard plastic, protective sheath. I bought the Haig Ultras and decided to replace the aluminum shafts with up-to-date shafts. Using .370 shafts avails me more variety of shafts. When I used this reamer to bore the hosels, it cut like butter on the carbon steel of the old clubheads. To figure my depth on the drill press, I merely wrapped a piece of bright blue elecctrical tape around the reamer and bored to marked depth...perfect job and very repeatable. Great product and a must for anyone tinkering with older clubs...or for that matter any taper bore hosel. I cannot rate durability because I've used the reamer only once and on carbon steel not stainless steel. February 18, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by went out on a limb and it paid! First time ever changing a hossel bore diamiter from 335 to 355T. Had a customer that wanted a Rifle Proj. X 6.5 2iron shaft in a Titleist 3 wood. The ream worked perfectly in my drill press holding the head with a Golf Smith clubhead reaming vise style# 8282. Added .75 " to the butt with a Golf Smith unuversal shaft extender styl #277U to attain overal lengthof 43". The customer, a mini tour pro was extatic! Have used the ream two more times since and it is still sharp. Use with a little cutting oil! October 1, 2009
