I change my grips and have been using regular box cutting blades. The hook blades are designed to facilitate the grip removing process by protecting the shaft. I do find myself scratching the shafts occasionally as I'm still getting used to the blades. But the great part is the time of grip removal is noticeably sped up. Now if only removing the tape was just as fast.

This is the safest, easiest way to remove grips. Works great with graphite too.

If you do any regripping at all, do yourself a favor and buy these blades. Easy to use, will not cut into a graphite shaft and you will have all your fingers intact when you're finished.

This blade for my knife to remove grip's is the best thing ever. I can take old grip off in 1 minute and re-tape add a little solvent and slide new grip on and in about 1 hour I am ready to go.
