Golfsmith Graphite Shaft Tip Abrading Tool

A great little tool for beginning clubmakers unsure how much to roughen the tip, or for experienced clubmakers simply looking for a faster, more consistent way to prep shaft tips for installation. Simply insert the shaft tip into the center of the tool and twist the tool 3-4 times — no guesswork needed and no fear of damaging the shaft. Meant for graphite shaft tips only, any diameter.

Replacement brush cartridges (#8649a) are available separately.

I do a lot of custom tip cutting to produce specific shaft freqs and wanted a tool to quickly and safely remove enough of the outer shaft layer to insert in the club head.
This tool hardly even scratches the surface. I wish GolfSmith had a return policy like LL Bean because I'd sent it back immediately.

the shaft always look good & saves time I use a lot of tools for my golf club business & have always been happy with any I have purchased from Golf Smith they always back anything they sell .

This is probably the worst tool I have ever tried for my shop.......Totally useless. The shaft only got prepped about 1/4 of an inch from the tip when this thing was together. I took it apart, and then used it. Average job for the purpose, sanding the tip is BY HAND is quicker and easier than using this tool. Rating is a minus 5 stars, but that isn't an option.
