The Callaway FT-iZ Driver was the result of Callaway's never-ending mission to find more distance and accuracy for golfers. Callaway developed the FT-iZ driver to help golfers break through their distance barrier. Their engineers used an entirely new design to once again produce a driver that is longer and straighter than anything they have ever made. The body of the clubhead features Fusion Technology, which combines cast titanium, compression cured carbon fiber, formed aluminum and cast steel for an optimal combination of performance and feel. The aerodynamic shape of the clubhead reduces drag in your downswing for higher impact speeds, meaning faster ball speeds and more distance. This progressive shape is actually Callaway’s most efficient high inertial clubhead to date. The face features Callaway’s hyperbolic design where thickness is greater at the edges and thinner in the center for a “hotter” face that allows the ball to spring off the tee. A chemical reduction process ensures precisely refined thickness in manufacturing. Finally, the FT-iZ design features polar weighting, which means there’s additional weight in the face and at the rear for a more impactful in-line power source which enhances consistency, feel and speed..
