The Callaway Diablo Octane Fairway Wood is built for and designed to maximize power. This standard model is designed for playability and distance and features aggressive VFT Technology and has precision shaping on the face thickness in each club that increases the size of the sweet spot. This club generates hotter ball speeds for longer distance and has a larger footprint with a higher moment of inertia and a deep center of gravity for better playability and higher trajectories. The stainless steel construction generates superior distance for a variety of swing speeds with a pleasing sound at impact.

Very nice 3 wood.

I purchased this used so I was able to get a good deal from Golfsmith. I tried the others and I felt like I could hit this more consistently. Even though I'm a Nike fan I didn't want a straight-fit hosel because if they break it's more of a head ache to deal with. Callaway made a nice sturdy fairway wood because some of my swings aren't alway pretty or I'm always trying to find a way to get more distance or just make my shots a little more accurate.

Happy with the 4 wood purchase

I decided to go with the 4 wood because it's easier to hit off the deck and just as long as a 3 wood. I am very satisfied with this club. I always had a hard time hitting off the deck and this 4 wood is a breeze to hit....I'm avg 240-250 with this club and it's miss hits are still 220+. I have the stiff flex for my 107+ mph swing speed and I find it perfect. You will not be disappointed with this club. One flaw to point out is paint fading on the bottom after a few rounds...the red begins to chip. =( Reason why I gave a 4 star instead of 5.

Callaway 3W Great for Seniors!

Haven't hit 3W for years due to presumed "senior' swing, but after club fitter saw my 5W flight suggested I try matching Diablo Octane. WOW! Could feel "heavy" head throughout swing and when I let it do the work it went forever! Guess I'm not a senior swinger anymore, or Callaway just knocked years off my game!
