For the first time, Cleveland designed matching iron sets that feature the same industry-leading face and groove technology offered in their famous wedges. The faces of the irons feature wedge-authentic milled Tour Zip Grooves and laser-milled face technology to optimize spin for improved distance control. The soles feature the club number as well as the loft values to allow players to more easily integrate their iron set with a strategically selected wedge set to even distance gap spacing. This set is designed as a scoring set with precision and accuracy in mind from the longest iron to the highest lofted wedge. The CG16's are designed with a lighter overall club weight and longer club length for maximum distance. The large cavity back with a full undercut stretches the center of gravity low and deep to optimize the launch angle and significantly improve forgiveness.
