Cleveland Launcher DST Driver

The Cleveland Launcher DST Driver offers a well-rounded, game-improving 460cc head with a light body and fast speed to boost distance and forgiveness. It was commended in the Golf Digest 2010 Hot List and makes a great driver for players at any skill level. By utilizing �Sub 300g Ultralite Technology�, Cleveland has developed the lightest driver on the PGA Tour in the Launcher DST � it�s sports a full 25 grams lighter overall clubweight than standard drivers. What that means for your game is faster clubhead speeds for up to 10 yards additional distance on your drives. Further enhancing the light weight and increased swing speed is the Diamana Red 44 shaft which manages to be a little longer and a little lighter than standard fare for more kick and higher speed, meaning higher ball speeds and longer drives. The Launcher DST also features MaxCOR Face technology which is a variable thickness across the face � thinner in the middle and thicker at the edges � for a higher coefficient of restitution, which is just a measure of the rate that the ball �springs� off the clubface. It also increases the size of the sweet-spot which allows for additional forgiveness, especially on off-center hits.

very good golf club

I replaced 15+-yr old driver with this huge Cleveland, so I'm a bit of a caveman playing with a zippo. Didn't hit many other clubs but chose this based on look and feel at impact but mostly its ridiculous price. The club really helps make the game more fun. Solid contact gives me plenty of length (~285 yds). The best part is that quite poor swings still send the ball down the chute and only lose 20-30 yds thanks to the huge head. Very fun. Fading the ball is not a problem.

i've always been a cleveland user and have to say this by far the best driver they've made.ihave increased my swing speed thus increasing distance up to 35 yds.NICE!ionly wish cleveland would get rid of the ugly headcovers.aminor complaint!

I'm very much a beginner, but I'm a big fan of this driver. It is very forgiving and I'm hitting the fairway much more often than ever before. I'm getting a good 15 yards farther, but the best news is the ease of hitting it straight. I tried several of my friends drivers (top rated clubs), but I liked this one the best and bought it. I find it funny that a lot of reviews mention how the club looks and sounds, but I wouldn't want to disappoint those readers who are looking for that ever important aspect of a driver. It looks great and has a cool looking head cover. My buddies say it sounds great even though I don't really strike it too hard (remember the beginner statement). You can spend more, but this driver is as good as any I've hit. Of course, it might not match your bag, which could cause a loss of a lot of cool points. Don't buy it if you're a gadget freak because it doesn't have lots of weights and adjustable hosel, so you can't make adjustments every time you hit a bad tee shot. I've found that I'm not hitting too many bad tee shots anymore so that's the best news.

I had the Launcher 460 for some years now and went to this. To start out i gained 40mph club head speed just from going to this. I was using a 9 degree with V2 stiff shaft and was able to crush 260 normally. Went to this my off shots went 260. I was amazed with several things with this. You can really feel the head on this, it is Tour geared so it is really quite playable, and the feel is so amazing. It has a slight high pitched ting when struck and feels like a old quadpro but with a lot softer touch to it. I am using a 9 degree again but the stock shaft and gained so much more distance and preformace. The other thing about this club is it feels like it pulls itself through the shot but allows you to really lay into the ball without straining yourself. This you should seriously demo before buying to see if its right for you. Its going to take time getting used to going from a 44.5" shaft to this one. It is a longer shaft but is really worth it.
