Cobra Baffler Rail H

The Cobra Baffler Rail H is Cobra’s premiere long-iron-replacing utility club. Like the Cobra woods in this family, the Rail H sports 9-points technology, with a high-strength steel face insert supporting a thin, springy face with a maximized sweet-spot for longer, straighter shots, whether you hit the ball right on the mark or a little bit off center. Specific to the Baffler Rail is this optimized “rail” sole design that reduces turf interaction. So, when you’re hitting the hybrid out of more difficult lies, like we often do, you’ll get a better strike on the ball, making it easier to hit overall. Cobra also updated the topline finish for this model of the Baffler Rail H. The club now sports a dark finish that’s easier on the eye at address and generally more preferred by skilled players.

Additional Features:

  • Crown Construction: Steel
  • Grip: Lamkin
  • Material: Steel
  • Shaft: Fujikura

My favorite clubs
Date:April 10, 2012
I have both the 2H and 4H versions. I enjoy hitting both. In fact, the 4H is my "swiss army knife" of a club.
Pros: Easy to Use

Great clubs
Date:April 8, 2012
I bought the 4&5h, I now hit consistently better shots, straighter, longer. Superb from the rough. I added a 2h, replacing my 5w. I am a senior golfer hitting the 2h regularly over 200 yards, and hitting greens with it.

Buy, Buy, Buy! I purchased the 4H 3 weeks ago (on sale), not really expecting much, but in my outing at the range I fell in love with my first Cobra! My shots were long and straight, but more importantly was the consistent contact that I don't get in my fairway woods? This past weekend I purchased the 2H (no practice at the range) and on my 3rd par 5 I decided to use my 2H on my second shot and it was a thing of beauty that went roughly 230 yards with very little effort, and I'm no Tiger Wood's! I’m going to purchase the 6H and bid my fairway woods good bye forever!
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value

Go-to club for long shots from the rough
Date:December 2, 2011
I really love this club. After playing with the 3-hybrid for a while I've decided to drop my 3 iron and go 3h, 4h, 4i instead of the 3h, 3i combination I'm playing right now. I'm much less intimidated on long 2nd shots with this club in my bag. The best part is that the grooves on the bottom really DO help cut through thick rough. I can still count on getting atleast 195 from the 3h even if my drive went awry and buried in deep rough. This has eliminated having to always pitch out into the fairway and has definitely shaved a stroke or two off of my game.
Last week I cut a drive low and it buried in the thick rough of a small hill in the middle of a U-shaped bunker only 225 yards out from the tee box. There wasn't much trouble around the green so I went for the shot. I had to stand in the bunker with the ball elevated nearly up past my knees. This club cut straight through the rough and I flew it the full 205 to put it 4 feet from the pin. Without this club, I would have never had the confidence to try that shot. (THAT shot with a 3-iron? Yeah right.)
You won't regret having this club in your bag.
Pros: Durability, Features, Easy to Use
