Cobra S3 Max Offset Driver

Designed for mid to high handicap players, the Cobra S3 Max Offset Driver offers maximum forgiveness and a high draw-biased ball flight. E9 Face Technology creates a larger Sweet Zone and combines it with an offset design to take forgiveness, draw-bias (slice correction) and distance to the max.

E9 Face Technology results in a taller, elliptical face and beveled perimeter that creates a 30% larger Sweet Zone for increased distance, accuracy and forgiveness. The elliptical face shape mirrors ball impact patterns to increase ball speed where golfers hit most often. A new optimized face thickness design increases ball speed across a wider face area, and an exclusive beveled perimeter design reduces wall thickness around the clubface, which shifts weight low and back to optimize launch conditions.

An offset design promotes maximum draw bias (anti-slice), which provides a square face at impact for longer, more consistent drives. Also, the crown alignment design provides visual cues at address to ensure proper alignment with target and help keep club on the desired swing path.

I would strongly recommend that you swing this club at the range to evaluate true ball flight. The in-store simulator often tends to provide a misleading impression. I've played four rounds with this driver and hit close to 300 balls on the range. The off-set club face forces the ball left. I already had a draw and the club brings the ball another 20 yards left. Too much. The simulator didn't display this level of movement. I wish that I had tested it on a range, as I typically do before purchase. If you are a high handicapper who slices the ball or has a consistent fade, you might have better luck that me. I'd return it, if I could.

great driver

Played 36 today with this as my new driver. After the 3rd hole I had it going long and straight. This club alone took 4 to 6 strokes off my game as I am now consistently in the fairway. Its a well built , quality product that has an amazing sweet spot.

ordered/received this driver-had requested it be cut to 421/2 and have a black widow grip put on this did not happen--also have ordered a fuull set of black widow grips +putter grip--weather has not permitted me to test out driver--I'll have to wait for the grips to arrive first and have the driver shortened.Will let you know asap on the results.
