MacGregor DX Full Set

The MacGregor DX Full Set includes a 460cc Ti driver with 60-gram graphite shaft, two stainless steel fairways each with a 60-gram graphite shaft and three hybrids with 60-gram graphite shaft. The set also includes five deep-cavity undercut irons with 75-gram shafts and 56d and 60d wedges with milled faces, a rich black PVD finish and lightweight steel shafts. There is a traditional heel-toe putter and the set is finished off with a a lightweight stand bag and matching headcovers for all woods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2underpar Great set for mid to low handicappers. I got this set as a travel set. I usually play G10 irons and have a Cobra driver and Callaway fairway woods. I took this set to Hawaii when I went on vacation and couldn't believe how good I was striking the ball. The driver is sweet, the ball just jumps off the face. I usually hit a slight cut but with these the ball just goes straight down the fairway. The Irons are sweet but tend to nick easily. The heavy classic putter is has a nice feel and I've replaced it in my first bag. The only stick I was dissapointed in was the sandwedge which seemed a little dead on impact. I simply put my 3 wedge tom watson adams set in my bag. The hybrids are solid core as opposed to hollow in some and they hit good and straight. I now play this set on a daily basis. The value and quality are about the best you can get for your buck. I would reccomend this set to any every day golfer. January 6, 2012
