Nike SQ Machspeed Junior Box Set Size 2

The Nike SQ Machspeed Junior Box Set Size 2 is for golfers 52" - 61" tall. It has an aerodynamic, oversized/ultra light driver and #4 hybrid, each with a high loft that promotes launch and a lightweight graphite shaft with a rubber grip. Both come with a kid's driver head cover as well. The wide sole, deep-cavity back 7 and 9 irons and sand wedge have a low center of gravity to help get the ball airborne and are easy to handle with a lightweight durable stainless steel head, lightweight graphite shaft and a rubber grip. The bag has a kickstand and a soft double strap that makes it easy to carry. The three-way top divider helps organize clubs while three zippered pockets store tees, balls, sunscreen and more. This bag is finished off with a mesh pocket for a water bottle.

It's OK. I'm really skinny and these clubs already feel really whippy. The irons are short enough that you don't feel them flex as much, but the hybrid and driver, especially the hybrid, feel the most whippy. The grips, including the putter grip, have only lost slight tackiness, even after a year, but I washed my grips weekly with water and a scotch-brite sponge, so your grip performance may vary. The hybrid feels kind of dead, but sounds like a persimmon wood. The driver has a very shallow face, which I did not like, but other than that, it had a very traditional look, nice sound which sounded way better that the hybrid, and distance was good. One thing I want to point out is, the nike swoosh on the hybrid and driver is a metal sticker that you can press in with your finger due to the spongey adhesive they use. The sticker on my driver actually came off, but called nike and had it replaced, free of charge (it took a few weeks though). The irons are quite long when hit pure, but because of the very undersized head (it looks like a scaled down game improvement club), the forgiveness, is less than ok. there is progressive offset and swingweight, medium- thick topline (in proportion with the rest of the head), and progressively thicker soles to the sand wedge, which is quiet nice actually; the thick sole, which is about 1.25" ( 7 iron is about .75") really gets it through any lie. All the clubs are very light, too light for my likings (the 7 iron feels like a feather), even the putter is very light, a little heavier that swinging a 1 qt. gatorade bottle, besides the weight, the putter and all of the other clubs set up very nice to the ball. The bag is super light, when empty, you can't even feel it, but after a while, the right shoulder strap started to feel very flimsy without cushion (because at the time, I only put the bag on my right shoulder). The head covers for the driver and hybrid are very ugly, but get the job done. The rain cover that attaches to the bag is very small, and is a very snug fit with all the clubs in. I got a new driver and cut it down to 40" (driver that comes with set is 38") and won't fit in the rain cover, but if you're just going to use the clubs that come in the set, the rain cover will get the job done. The bag has 3 big pockets with one really nice felt lined valuables pocket and several external loops for tees. I use the 3 big pockets for snacks, balls, and apparel. The big pocket, which I use for apparel, can actually fit a pair of shoes if they're small enough (I have size 6 shoes and they fit). All in all, the set could use some improvement, but is still a good value compared to the other golf sets.

The value of these clubs is a steal, considering that they are nike. All the clubs are very forgiving. Also, just having the nike logo on everything gives you a lot of confidence. I know it's probably me, but the irons are so straight and the flex is just right in all of the clubs. The only problem I had was when you hold the putter grip square, the putter head was off by 2 degrees, but i easily adjusted.
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, Durability
