Callaway Black Series Tour Design Putter

The Callaway Black Series Tour Design Putter is the result of extensive work between the Odyssey design team and Tour players like Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els. The Black Series Tour Designs Putters are precisely-crafted and milled, featuring a new look while providing the soft feel demanded by the best players in the world. A.R.T. (Advanced Roll Technology) is achieved through multi-material construction. A urethane dampening layer is subtly placed between the 1025 carbon steel head and the independently milled tungsten flange. This results in a lower, deeper center of gravity for better, quicker and truer roll. The TD milled face has a precise, deep pattern that generates consistent impact performance for better feel, distance control and smooth roll. The putter also features the new high-tech Deep Black PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finish that produces a durable, glare-free look added specifically based on feedback from Tour pros.

Additional Features:

  • Model No.2: Squared off heel-toe weighted blade with a crank-neck hosel and full-shaft offset
  • Model No.4: Scalloped out, rounded heel-toe flanged blade with a crank-neck hosel and full-shaft offset
  • Model No.6: Scoop-back blade with a squared-off toe, a slant-neck hosel and half-shaft offset
  • Model No.9: Toe-weighted, heel-shafted, flanged blade with a long hosel and half-shaft offset

Odyssey's Black Series Retired My Scotty
Date:January 24, 2012
I have putted with a Scotty Fastback #1 for the last three years and the Odessey #1 Wide replaced it. I never thought that would happen, but this putter is money. The roll and feel are second to none. I am making more putts inside of 15ft and lag putts are closer. At the current price I am surprised Golfsmith still has these in stock. If you are in the market for a premium putter, do yourself a favor and pick one up. You will not be disappointed.

Exceptional Feel
Date:May 14, 2012
I saw that the price had been reduced to $100, and booked it straight to Golfsmith that same day to pick up a no. 8. I've only played one round with it, but distance control issues seem to be a thing of the past. Not a single three putt and I was lagging everything, regardless of distance, to two feet and in. It's just perfectly weighted and provides great feedback. I'm a mid-handicapper and fully expect to drop 3-4 strokes due to this putter alone. At a $100, I don't think there's a better bargain out there in golf equipment at the moment.
Pros: Durability, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value

Very nice! I like!
Date:March 8, 2012
I just received my Odyssey Black Series in the #9 style. Having only carpet-putted, I can still say that the feel of this putter is outstanding. In the past I've used mostly blade-type putters. This is my first heel-shafted putter, but it's giving me no problems at all. The weight is perfect, and it's easily the best feeling putter I've gamed to date- so easy to use. The fit and finish is top notch, and the stock grip is really great, too. For sizing reference, I'm 5'9", got a 33", and it's perfect length.
The only con I guess I could throw in here is that the headcover, which is magnetic and very nice, came with several tiny dirt spots on the side. But it's obviously going to get dirty anyway, so it's really a non-issue.
With a $25 off coupon and free shipping, the total price was $125 to my door. In my opinion, that has got to be one of the best bang for your buck deals around, especially considering that the #9 will be in my bag for a long time! Thanks Golfsmith!

Great Putter
Date:November 21, 2011
I just bought this putter on sale for $120, and it is probably the best putter I've ever owned. I've had a Scotty, a White Ice, a Rossa - you name it. Basically, I got this for a great deal and I love the feel/looks. If you are considering buying this - don't hesitate, its worth it.
