PING G15 Hybrid with Graphite Shaft

The G15 Hybrid is engineered as a high-launching, forgiving alternative to long- and mid-irons. A large internal toe pad expands the perimeter weighting to make it PING's most forgiving and longest hybrid ever. The unique shape of the stainless steel hybrid features an iron-style face and hosel design which positions the center of gravity closer to the face to increase launch angle and reduce spin. The clean look at address inspires confidence for golfers of all abilities.

Shaft Options:

  • TFC 149H Shaft: Premium graphite shaft designed by PING that utilizes lightweight materials and features progressive weight and flex and torsion profiles to increase clubhead speed for maximum distance, while providing optimal launch conditions for superior control, consistency and feel.
  • Aldila Serrano 85 Hybrid Shaft: Premium graphite shaft designed by Aldila that provides a great fitting alternative to the TFC 149 shaft family. This shaft will generally provide the golfer with a slightly lower launch angle and spin rate as compared to the TFC 149H shaft.

Custom services such as etchings, shaft purring, and shaft cushions are available on this product with additional up-charges. Call 1-800-396-0099 for details.

This hybrid was just average, nothing great but not terrible either. I am not a fan of the severity of the offset head. Not the easiest to get the ball up in the air.

Excellent club. I just replaced my 5 iron with this Ping and must say the club performance is excellent. I can now cover that 180 to 190 yard shot with this club. Ball get up quick with high flight and lands soft. Takes a nice thin divot and ball goes where you aim it with a slight draw.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value

Not for everyone
Date:September 14, 2010
When I was being fit at the Golfsmith for a hybrid, the numbers on the monitor while I was hitting this looked good. It felt great as well. Of course I bought one! Took it out on the course and the only numbers it produced for me were high numbers. This club was hard to get the ball airborne. I thought I would give this a chance and try it out on the range. No dice. I couldn't get it up, my 4 iron flew further. I don't know how they rated this high on the golf hotlist. Also, it kinda looks like a thumb stuck on a shaft and not an actual hybrid looking club.
Cons: Difficult to Use

Fantastic club

I bought te 17 degree to replace a 2 iron. To me the club looked more like an iron when over it than a hybrid. I liked that it doesn't appear to have the rolled face of most hybrids and it makes me more confiden in swinging it. I am a high handicapper but can't go wrong with this club and average 210 yard with it. I hit it straight and long every time with this club and look forward to opportunities to pull it from the bag!
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value
