PING i15 Fairway Wood

Developed for better golfers who rely on the distance and versatility of a fairway wood, this PING i15 features a sleek, low profile shape that delivers high performance from all conditions. The stainless steel head is slightly elongated from heel-to-toe for added forgiveness, and internally weighted to produce low spinning shots with the penetrating trajectory preferred by more skilled golfers. Each of the three options, including a strong 3-wood, standard 3-wood and 5-wood, are designed with a fade bias to ensure the workability required in a player's club.

Shaft Options:

  • TFC 700F Shaft: Premium graphite shaft designed by PING utilizes a heavier design preferred by golfers with faster swing speed, while featuring progressive weight and flex and torsion profiles to achieve optimal launch conditions for superior control, consistency and feel.
  • UST Mamiya AXIVcore Tour Red 79 Shaft: Premium graphite shaft designed by UST Mamiya provides a great fitting alternative to the TFC 700 family. This shaft will generally provide a slightly lower launch angle compared to the TFC 700D shaft.

Custom services such as etchings, shaft purring, and shaft cushions are available on this product with additional up-charges. Call 1-800-396-0099 for details.

Better than expected
Date:January 31, 2012
I got the i15 5-wood on a trade. I wanted a 909f2 to match my 910f 3-wood, but the lower price on the i15 sold me. The i15 has the head shape and size of a 909f2/910f. I reshafted mine to my usual Graphite Design shaft with a 5-gram tip weight. The resulting feel is dead solid. Strong and long. My i15 is going ten yards further than my Titleists. The sound at impact is almost iron like. Easier to hit than expected. Probably not for a total hacker, though a wide range of players will be able to launch this club. For me it's point and shoot. I also have G15 woods, and the i15 is a much better club. I plan on getting a couple more of these when the prices drop.
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value, Durability

Love it, Love it, Love it!!!
Date:July 7, 2011
I started playing golf a few years ago. I bought a full set of starter clubs at a mall store, got some good instruction and once my handicap dipped below 15, I decided it was time to upgrade my equipment.
I did some research, read reviews and settled on the Ping i15 3 wood to compliment the Ping i15 17 & 20 degree hybrids I also purchased.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this club!!! It is so easy to place the ball exactly where you want that now, my driver only comes out of the bag on the long par 4's (whoever came up with the idea of 490+ yard par 4's needs to be drawn & quartered but that's a discussion for another time).
Anyway, I'm not one for writing reviews but I'm so happy with this club that I felt the need to offer my two cents.
Good luck & great golf!

Long, straight and forgiving
Date:January 11, 2010
I am a 20 handicapper and besides what you may read about this wood, it goes straight and long. It is easy to hit off the deck and flies off the tee. Once in a while it will have a small fade on the shot but it pretty much goes straight. I have the 14 degree and it can probably be substituted with a driver when you want a higher but long shot...
