Precision RIFLE

The Precision RIFLE is one of the most popular steel shafts in golf, used widely on all professional tours and among OEMs. The stepless Rifle shaft from Precision Shaft is manufactured using a proprietary process that utilizes internal rifling. This produces a highly consistent shaft that transfers more energy from player to ball than a conventional stepped shaft. The results are twofold: tighter shot dispersion and a unique, solid feel at impact.

Flex coefficients (4.5, 6.0, etc.) correlate to the shaft¹s measured CPM (cycles per minute). The lower the number, the more flexible the shaft and the lower the bend point; the higher the number, the stiffer the shaft and the higher the bend point.

Weights listed are for 5-iron shafts for irons and driver shafts for woods; actual shaft weights may vary.

Wood shafts are sold in one length which may be trimmed to fit any wood head. Iron shafts are sold in complete sets of eight lengths to deliver frequency-matched performance in a set of Nos. 3-9, PW. The individual 1-iron shafts sold separately may be trimmed to fit any iron head.

Flex Equals:

  • 4.5 = Regular
  • 5.0 = Regular +
  • 5.5 = Stiff
  • 6.0 = Stiff +
  • 6.5 = Extra Stiff
  • 7.0 = Extra Stiff +

Great Feel

I wanted to have the same shafts in all my wedges, so I installed 6.0 taper tip Rifles in my 54 and 58 degree Vokeys. Very similiar ball flight to the Dynamic Gold OEM, but less spin and 5 more yards on full shots.
