Scotty Cameron California Putter
2010 Golf Digest Hot List

The Scotty Cameron California Putter has a classic design with modern weighting. This club provides clean aesthetics while offering better balance and higher inertia for a solid feel. Select Weight Technology offers greater choices for length and weight to enhance performance for all types of players. Milled from soft, 303 stainless steel, the California putter has a soft sound and feel that promotes precise distance control. A honey-dipped finish provides a deep, rich non-glare appearance while the stepless steel shaft provides a clean, uninterrupted look at the ball in the address position as well as promoting better putter head feel throughout the stroke. The black Cameron Tour grip creates a soft, controlled feel for precise feedback.

Additional Features:

  • Draft Sole Design: Keeps the putter square in the playing position for proper alignment
  • High-Toe Profile: Aids alignment and eliminates the tendency to raise the toe at address causing a player to aim the putter to the left of the target

Models:
  • Monterrey- A double-step flange with a pocket and plumbing neck
  • Coronado- A double-step flange with a flow neck
  • Sonoma- A compact mallet with a plumbing neck
  • Del Mar- A mid mallet with a flow neck

CORONADO:INCREDIBLE BUY!
Date:September 5, 2011
I recently bought the Scotty Cameron Coronado putter, the old-school look intrigued me and I spent about an hour on the practice green with it. The feel of this putter is amazing, i've had countless Odysseys and none even compare to this putter's feel and pure roll. No more 2 or 3 putts for me, this putter has shaved 4 strokes off my score. Though it is pricey, by far worth the price.

SC Del Mar = Worth Every Penny
Date:August 26, 2011
Let me start out by saying one thing....I was not a Scotty Cameron "groupie" before I bought this putter. However, I will forever be a Scotty Cameron endorser now.
I spent three weeks hitting every putter that I could find when I would stop in at a golf store or pro shop. I knew I needed a change but I was not sure which putter to add to the bag. I started leaning towards the odyssey black tour putter, model 9, but there was something about it that I was not comfortable with. It got great roll and had great feel but the weight was wrong. I eventually found myself elbow deep in the Scotty Cameron putter collection. At first I was not convinced. They looked sexy but again I wasn't feeling the comfort I was looking for and the price point was a drawback.
After 3 weeks it came down to Odyssey, Nike Method and SC. I was totally stumped.
I went into my local Golfsmith and I picked up the Del Mar for the first time and it was love at first stroke. (I'm sure there's a better way to say that.)
I was draining putts and the comfort level was an 11 out of 10.
The feel is uncanny and the roll is perfect. I feel like a pro when I line it up and sink it. Suddenly everything from 8 feet and in is a near gimmie.
The California Line has a beautiful finish that feels excellent to the eye when you're on the green. It has the look of a golden god. I love it.
I am glad that I took the time to hit a lot of putters because the quality and the feel of the Scotty Cameron was far and away a cut above the rest. You don't have to like the price but you can't help falling in love with the quality.
Do yourself a favor.....be open to spending some dough on a SC, if it feels right, and you will not be disappointed.

Fantastic

I have tried many putters over the last 2 months, and while I really do like the PING Redwood putters, the Cali Del Mar is the best putter out there. The roll is great and as true as any putter out there. The feel is as soft as any putter on the market. Cameron is coming out with a new line in a few months and while it will likely be another fantastic putter, I don't think anything will outdo the California series.
