Snake Eyes 685 OS Milled Iron Head

With a slightly larger face profile, more offset and a beefier sole, the Snake Eyes 685 OS Milled Iron Head provides plenty of forgiveness. It's cast from a soft-feeling 8620 carbon steel, heated to 800°C, put into a heated forging die, and then forged on a true forging machine before milling. This smooths the surface appearance, reconstructs the metal's grain to a finer grade and maintains the steel's softness.

Features:

  • Larger profile produces a lower, deeper CG (Center of Gravity) and higher MOI (Moment of Inertia)
  • Better for golfers who need more forgiveness
  • Grooves conform to USGA 2010 ruling

so far so good i had MIZUNO MX 23 iron with graf. shafts reg. flex went to the 685 os milled with reg. flex shafts so much easer hit hit and picked up 7 to 10 yards are a much higher flight, thats what i've been looking for makes me much more confident over the ball so thank golfsmith and snake for giving me a bit of my youth back maybe 1 can hang on too my 10 handycap for abit longer.

Amazing iron head
Date:February 21, 2012
I am a 19 hcap and bought a set of these and also the 685 forged mostly due to reviews of both on Golfsmith site. Paired the OS Milled with Taylor Made Burner 09 reg. flex shafts. The distance, feel, and overall playability of these clubs is fantastic, better than anything I have tried, and I have tried many brands. And the OS Milled feel just as solid as the 685x forged with even more forgiveness. Very pleased with these heads.
Pros: Features, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value

Awesome!
Date:February 3, 2012
Stepped up to these clubs from a set of wide sole, deep cavity back irons. These are so much easier to hit and I'm getting about 10 more yards. Even though the club heads are smaller, the sweet spot is still generous and they are very forgiving. I'm about an 18 handicap and was worried I wasn't ready for these clubs, but they are awesome.
Pros: Quality, Easy to Use, Durability
