Tour Edge Exotics XCG4 Fairway Wood

To Tour Edge Exotics XCG4 Fairway Wood has an uncompromising design that integrates classic good looks with pure performance. If you thought it was impossible for an Exotics fairway wood to hit even longer, your reality is about to be shattered.. The new XCG4 will be the most sophisticated production model of all time. Generating massive amounts of power, the 4-series advances the powerful platform of the XCG3. They both feature a titanium cup face and crown and ultra heavy tungsten sole that is combo-brazed, but that's where the similarities end. The XCG4 includes a powerful SP700 beta titanium face insert that takes Exotics fairway wood superiority to a whole new level. Tour Edge engineers used SP700 over other types of titanium because of its higher elongation figure. This property allows SP700 to impart more spring upon impact and deliver more energy to the golf ball, thus increasing distance. In addition, the XCG4 features Tour Edge's new Boomerang face design that includes multiple levels of variable-face thickness. By thinning and thickening the face, the v-shaped boomerangs allow for the maximum elongation of the titanium for enhanced feel and rebound. As a result, the new face design increases the CT from 212 in the XCG-3 to 241 in the XCG4, making the 4 the longest-hitting, best-feeling Exotics fairway wood yet. For exceptional forgiveness, the 4-series boasts a tungsten sole that weighs 130 grams and represents more than 65% of the clubhead's total weight. This extra weight delivers the lowest center of gravity available in a fairway wood.

Best 3 Wood Ever
Date:August 17, 2011
I purchased this club looking to find a fairway metal that I truly liked. I had reached the point where I was hitting my 3 hybrid instead of my 3 fairway because of zero confidence. I have gone through three fairway woods in the last year, so it has not been for lack of trying. Finally the journey is over. This club is the real deal. It sets up beautiful, and takes off like it was shot out of a gun. I went with the regular 65 gram stock shaft which was designed to match the head. The ball flight is high, but not so much that it doesn't bore thru the air. This is a great club for those tight par fours, and you will not lose much distance. I know the price is more then most, but you will not be sorry you spent a little more. It's well worth the money if you love the game.

Almost longer than my driver
Date:August 9, 2011
I hated hitting 3 woods until i hit this. Seemed so easy to hit and comes off the face like a bullet. I hit this club just as far as my driver. Sometimes I feel I should just hit my 3 wood all day to stay in the fairways. Love this club and its hybrid cousin but not crazy about the driver.

I bought the 15* 3 wood with the 65gram stiff shaft.I have to say i ve tried all the fairway woods on the market and this is the one.Tour Edge made good on the promise of 20 yards longer! I m 6'4" 255 lbs. and i usually hit my 3 wood 265 off the tee, this Tour Edge XCG4 i hit a few 290 off the tee and that is using GPS . unreal I wish i would ve tried this companies products years ago.
