Great Putter!

I bought this putter two years ago, but, never put it in my bag. It sat in the corner of my office and every now and then I would hit a few putts across the carpet. I have gone through other putters during this time with mixed results. My biggest problem has always been judging distance. I finally put my Yes Marilyn putter in the bag and I am so happy that I did! The "C Groove" technology is not a joke. The ball rolls true. The alignment aid has also helped. I am making more putts from various distances than I ever have in the past. My long running putter search is over. I think my Marilyn will be with me for a long time.

Sink more putts

Tracy II is the way to go. These putters really do get the ball rolling faster. I really noticed it in my long putts. 3 putts are a thing of the past because my distance control is so much better since the ball starts rolling sooner. Great weight. Showed it to a buddy, a scratch golfer, he traded his Scotty Cameron in immediately and got this. His putting has also improved. Overall, an outstanding putter for the price. I highly recommend you keep the headcover on this while it's in the bag or the grooves will get nicked up.

This thing works!

Before this putter I had an Anser. When I copmared the two, the Yes! started rolling ALOT sooner then the Anser. It has definitely made my putting more consistant!

Just roll the ball in the hole

Upgraded from an Odyssey 2-ball putter after about a year of extremely frustrating putting. It helps with alignment, but something about it made distance control and directional control extremely difficult on longer putts. Then I realized that the ball wasn't rolling as freely as I was used to. My previous putter was a tear-drop roll face putter, which if you don't know, was basically a putter with a rounded face. The nice thing about that is that the club only contacted the ball on a very small surface area, making it nearly impossible to induce backspin on a good stroke, and therefore was good at rolling the ball toward the hole. However, as any baseball player will tell you, there is a huge downside to hitting a round ball with a round object, compared to a round ball with a flat object, and that is a considerably larger margin for error, specifically getting under the ball or hitting down on top of the ball. The Yes putter addresses this issue nicely, while still providing the roll that helps immensely with both distance control and hitting the ball along the intended line.

I've probably cut 2-3 strokes per round, mainly through fewer three-putts, and pesky 5 footers that dive into the hole instead of grazing the edge. If I can simplify the process to: pick a line and putt the ball to the hole, I always score better, and this putter helps me to do that better than any putter I've used before.

It's also very attractive from the top (I have the Marilyn model), the grip is distinctive (yellow, white and black) and comfortable. I've always believed a putter is an emotional choice (Tiger has been using the same putter for about 10 years, if that's any indication) and you should definitely try before you buy, but I definitely recommend this club for a test drive!
