Srixon Z Star XV Tour Yellow Golf Balls

The Srixon Z Star XV Tour Yellow Golf Balls have pushed the limits on golf ball performance. The 2011 version of the Z-STAR lineup takes Star Performance to the next level. Star performance can be broken down into two main features: Larger cores for improved ball speed and softer covers for maximum spin around the greens. The core of the golf ball can easily be thought of as the engine of the golf ball. What is true of an engine, bigger engines equal more power, is also true of a golf ball core. Bigger cores equal more power and more power equals more ball speed. With the Z-Star Tour, Srixon has produced a premium golf ball with the largest core in the industry. To generate maximum spin around the green, a soft cover is fundamentally important. The softer the material, the more it can deform at impact and grip the face for maximum spin. With a new proprietary urethane compound, Srixon has been able to take the already-soft cover seen in past Z-Star golf balls and go even softer, leading to maximum control around the greens. The Z-Star is softer than the XV and designed for the golfer with swing speeds between 80-105 mph designed for maximum performance and a soft feel in all areas of the game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by NEW in Picture, old ball Nice performance but, becareful,I have receive the old versión 2011 , but Golfsmith has the new versión in the picture (see the word NEW int the box) May 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Good Ball I like this ball in yellow color. It performs like Titlesit prov1x, but is softer on the driver, plus, the yellow color seems for me to have better durability than the white, and better visibility as well. February 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Ball on the Market 2 handicap. play the XV to reduce driver spin for more accurate and longer shots. Ball sits on greens with irons within a foot or two. No more spinning off the green. Ball will not scuff. Played same ball for over 6 rounds now and still looks new. Play the yellow...just personal taste. Try it and you will be hooked. Every year they do a buy 2 get 1 free. Buy about 6 dozen every Xmas at 30.00 a dozen. Try em. The Z star spins off the green for me so I went to XV. January 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bye bye Pro V1 line.......... Both the regular Z Star and the Z Star XV are off the charts, incredible balls. I first tried these bcoz I was drawn to the yellow option in a performance ball - I simply see and track the ball better with them opposed to traditional white balls. I've since found they also make it easier to distinquish my ball from my partners and the yellow makes it almost impossible to lose one in the rough. From a performance view I have found that the Z Star is longer than the Pro V1 and the Z Star XV is longer than the Pro V1 - at least for me, maybe not all. I would say my carry is about the same with both, but I notice a sizable difference in how much farther they roll out in the fairway. From a stopping point, the Z Star is as good or better than a Pro V1 - just great teeth. The XV maybe doesn't stop as good as a Pro V1x, but it's still has plenty of bite and is hardly noticable. None of my shots around the green or from 100 yards have changed in expectations - same confidence. But perhaps the greatest asset these balls have is their ridiculous durability. A Pro V would normally look worn and dingy after 4 or 5 holes, not with these guys. Minus hitting one off of a tree or catching a cart path - you can easily stretch 36 holes out of one ball and have it still looking really good. The yellow versions help this out even more - guess the color makes the ball look even fresher than it is, but whatever the reason it is a huge financial plus............ I've bought my last Titleist - Srixon from here on in. July 2, 2012
