MacGregor Tourney Driver

For over 114 years, MacGregor has continually left its mark on the game of golf. The tradition of impeccable craftsmanship, leading innovation and versatile, top-quality equipment is as thriving today as it was in 1897. Now comes the Tourney Driver with its Cup Face technology. With strategically-placed weighting and a thinner, larger surface area, the sweet spot on this club is the whole face. More distance is just a swing away. The lightweight, 55-gram graphite shaft from UST also allows for increased swing speeds, resulting in further drives. You may spend more time waiting on the others in your foursome to catch up to you, so bring a book to pass the time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Club for beginners So this is my first full year hitting the greens. A friend of mine got me started last october and gave me an old set of clubs to use. This year I noticed some inconsistency with the old Adams Driver. I went to Golf-smith in hopes to purchase the new Taylor Made Rocket Ballz Driver. The wife saw that the store was running a deal on the MacGregor to I took both to the indoor testing area and tried them out. Needless to saw I was hitting much better than the old driver and preferred the gregor of Taylor. Ive used it out on the course several times and am extremely pleased hitting consistently over 200 yards with this driver. My recommendation is Great for someone getting into the sport at a good value. September 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Why is this driver so loud? But I like it anyway. I have the 10.5 loft with a stiff shaft. (It came with a free hybrid.) I'll admit I'm having a tough time with this club. I was using a MacGregor MT 460 Cup Face until I bent over to retrieve my tee while using my club for balance, and the shaft snapped off at the hosel. Gosh I loved that club. Anyway, I bought this one. This club is weird. The face looks like it was taped on... seriously! And the sound it makes is so loud it sometime hurts by ears. Despite some early misfires, I think I now have it dialed in. I will tell you this: when you hit this club right the ball will fly for a mile. I've had the longest, straightest drives of my like with this club. Finally I am getting consistent with it and, despite the "taped on face" and the unfriendly sound it makes, I'm keeping it in my bag... but I'm still going to get my MT fixed. Oh, by the way, I am a diehard MacGregor fan. Until about three years ago I was hitting a Jack Nicklaus persimmon headed wood, and I still buy and use MacGregor balls. (I think they are -- or were -- made by Srixon.) If this club proves to be durable, I would give it four stars. July 16, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great value I needed a new driver and 5 wood for a second set of clubs. Got the 5 wood free by buying the driver. They look great and perform as well as my Bobby Jones clubs that cost much more! December 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice Driver I tried all the major drivers, all were very nice the best was the Cobra Amp, it had the best consistency out of all of them. Then I was given this driver and told to just try it. My drives were flying past where my other balls stopped, with no change in swing speed. I'm slightly above average golfer and can usually push a driver to maybe 280 yards. I was hitting this driver consistently 305 to 315, we'll see how it holds up. August 13, 2012
