MacGregor Tourney Fairway Wood

For over 114 years, MacGregor has continually left its mark on the game of golf. The tradition of impeccable craftsmanship, leading innovation and versatile, top-quality equipment is as thriving today as it was in 1897. Now comes the Tourney Fairway Wood with its Cup Face technology. With strategically-placed weighting and a thinner, larger surface area, the sweet spot on this club is the whole face. More distance is just a swing away. The lightweight graphite shaft from UST also allows for increased swing speeds, resulting in further shots and softer landings.

Additional features:

  • Body construction: steel
  • Crown construction: steel
  • Face construction: steel
  • Grip: rubber composition
  • Shaft: Tourney Graphite by UST

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fairway wood for all players! I picked this club up tonight at the Golfsmith I shop at in Austin, TX. I bought the MT Tourney irons last summer, and I have picked up the MT Tourney 3&4 hybrids. I love them all. I have had trouble hitting fairway woods for a long time. I even ordered a custom fairway wood and tried it. I hit this club tonight at the driving range, and it has found it's way into my bag! Nice looking club, easy to hit. Trajectory is nice and high and boring. This club is a great value if you are shopping for a new fairway wood. Golf balls jump right off the club face. This will be one of my go to clubs on long par 5's, par 4's and very long par 3's. Try one. June 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by MacGregor-"Still the greatest name in golf" I recently purchased a Macgregor M85T Driver from the local Golfsmith store and 98% of my Drives were right where I wanted them to be. Going on that performance, I reasoned that the fairway woods would do the same. I was right as I had terrific results the first time out with them. I got a great deal on them from Golfsmith and to say I'm pleased would be an understatement. The most expensive is not always the best. Now I'm considering replacing my old MacGregor irons. They're still the Greatest name in golf for me! September 21, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Adjustment Period I've used the 3 wood recently three days in a row. The first day, my intitial reaction on the long yardage fairways to the huge high arching draw was one of perplexity. Set up was right, grip, etc---so I knew it was a new club as it came in clear plastic shrink wrap on the club head etc and it wasn't a used club no signs of previous play and not a custom club with a special loft & lie;I had to have an incorrect swing plane--lost a few balls in hazards & out of bounds. Day two, a bit better got a few straight shots but lost a few balls into the woods/hazards; Day three, a bit better still had plenty of draw action but no lost balls. My recommendation is to begin at the driving range to get a command of the adjustments that have to made with this club. I've never had any problems with MacGregor 2007 NVG macTech woods & Drivers and the 2008 woods Drivers and irons and I even got a 2010/2011 white & green 445cc Driver made by the new MAcGregor comapny sold here at golfsmith in which I played 9 holes and did lose any ball on the long yardage holes. I wonder if I got a defected club. Finally, this 3 wood works very well with Macgregor MT Tourney golf balls and not Sirixon Q star or Titleist Velocity balls. September 14, 2012
