Ping G20 Driver

The Ping G20 Driver is for all ability levels. The external weighting of the G20 driver helps launch the ball high with low spin for maximum distance and accuracy. Distance is generated with a new version of Ping's proprietary high-balance-point shaft technology, which allows the golfer to swing a heavier clubhead at the same speed with a high moment of inertia. The clubface on the 460cc head is larger, creating more forgiveness across the hitting area and the G20's head rotation is neutral, allowing the golfer to deliver the clubface straight at impact.

Additional Features:

  • Grip: ID8
  • Shaft Type: Ping TFC 169D

UNBELIEVEABLE DISTANCE AND ACCURACY
Date:February 25, 2012
I recently spent hours upon hours trying different drivers... R11, Callaway Razor Fit, Nike VRs... you name it. Each left me missing that "IT" factor I needed in my game. I need to caveat this by saying I don't buy drivers every year like a lot of golfers do, but the hype of an adjustable driver was just too much this time so I set out to get fitted, and hopefuly, improve my tee shots by 5-6/round to lower my handicap from a strong 9 to an 8 or 7. I tried the Ping i20, the G-15, and the G-20 as well, and after hitting every driver in the store, with every shaft combination, I kept coming back to the G-20 for feel, sound, laucnch angle, and distance. I finally bought the G-20 (9.5/Tour Shaft) and have played 3 rounds since. Let me just say this... ABSOLUTELY UNBELIEVABLE ACCURACY AND DISTANCE!!! Buy this club... It will save your game.
Pros: Durability, Quality, Easy to Use, Good Value

You need to try this one out.
Date:May 16, 2012
I got fitted several months ago. I tried tried all the top brands. This one went straighter overall and just as long. I have played with it for several months now. It is very forgiving. More than once I have driven the ball further than I did with my old clubs. On the first long drive I was puzzled that I could not find my ball after thinking it should be in the fairway. It was. It was just further down the fairway. Yes, I paid the top $ for it, but this is one time that it was worth it.

Straight, but shorter than whats out there!
Date:April 7, 2012
Let me start by saying I have been a PING advocate since I started playing. I've had the G5, G10, K15. Last year I started to straighten out my slice so I decided to ditch the K15. I went to get fitted for whatever driver gave me the best control and distance no matter what brand or color it was. This driver is as long as my K15, but no longer. Usually 250-275 with roll. My SS with the G20 was about 97-99 mph. This driver is DEAD STRAIGHT but shorter than the RBZ tour I ended up getting fitted for. The RBZ tour had a more penetrating ball flight and with roll was on average 30 yards longer. My SS with the RBZ was around 104-106 mph. I had more control with the shorter shaft of the RBZ tour and could work the ball at will. After fine tuning the RBZ I hit tight, med trajectory drives that were longer. If Straight is what you need then by all means get this driver. However, I wanted straight and long, so I did not.

This one's a keeper
Date:April 3, 2012
I'm always changing drivers, looking for the next best thing. Here it is!!! A combinatin of distance and accuracy. I've played a couple of rounds with it and it's a real bomber that always seems to keep you around the fairway (if not in it). Unfortunately I don't hit the ball 350-400 yds like most people who write these reviews, but it has kept me in the 250-275 range. It looks like this one's staying in the bag (at least until the next best thing). BTW, the 3 wood is just as good!!!
