TaylorMade Burner Super Fast Driver

The TaylorMade Burner Super Fast Driver offers exceptional distance with extremely light weight. The SuperFast’s aggressive head shape features drag-reducing geometry on the sole with a tapered back end for faster overall swing speeds which translates to more distance off the tee. Ultra-thin Wall technology on the inside reduces the wall thickness in the clubhead to allow for a larger face up front. This let them create the biggest face on any TaylorMade Driver which gives you a larger hitting area with a larger sweet spot for more forgiveness. TaylorMade’s popular Inverted Cone Technology behind the face increases the club’s COR, or coefficient of restitution. This means the ball’s tendency to spring off the clubhead is increased to raise ball speeds even further for even more distance. The TaylorMade Burner SuperFast Driver is built to provide easy-to-hit distance for players of all skill levels.

Additional Features:

  • Body Construction: Titanium

A very odd fit
Date:February 16, 2012
I went to South Africa and ended up playing on a wonderful course near Johannesburg called Parkview. I did not want to take my clubs on the long flight just to play one round so I ended up borrowing a friend's Ping G2s and Burner Superfast with the standard reg flex shaft. Not once did the driver get me in trouble and after dropping 7 shots on the first 9 ended up on 9 over for the round due in no small part to accurate and long drives.
I was in the market for a Titlist 910 but put it on hold because of cost. (It's a great driver) After my round I went to a golf store and had a fitting only to find out that with my 100-103mph swing, the initially recommended drivers (all with stiff shafts) were not performing as well as my friend's Burner. The burner was long, straight and consistent. 245 metres (270 yards) spin rate averaging 3200 rpm and 13.5 to 14 degrees launch.
It works, as was evident on the course and the launch monitor confirmed it. Sorry Titlist, it was better for me than the wonderful 910.
Thanks for the loan Jeremy, I owe you

Glad I Made the Change
Date:October 24, 2011
Have been borrowing a burner superfast from a friend of mine. 10.5 degree with a stiff shaft, decided to take the leap and have one of the techs at Golfsmith fit me up on the launch monitor. Hit the R11, the superfast 2.0 and the superfast. Left the store with a 9.5 degree regular shaft superfast. I cut i" off the length and I am setting in the middle of the fairway poke after poke off the tee box. I am consistent at 225 to 240 and I can live with that. Hated to put my Cobra 350 SS on the shelf but sometimes a change is good and I am glad I made this change.

The Hole just got much shorter!!!
Date:September 8, 2011
Tested this driver against my current G15 Draw and gained about 35 yards with less work. I dont have the best swing and can hit straight one day and slice bad the next and was worried about the extra length; this was not an issue went from 230 to 265 easy straight. i assumed the 2.0 was the same or better so i purchased first anb was wrong; couldnt hit it to save my life and gave it away to purchase this one.
Paid $300 for it by the time i took a loss on the 2.0 but couldnt be happier
